Huntington Beach, South Carolina

Such a beautiful park and the perfect spot to land after being snowed in for the last couple weeks!

Huntington Beach is a South Carolina State Park near Murrell’s Inlet. The campground backs to the ocean, but trees, bushes, and the sand dunes separate the campground from the beach. We could hear the waves from our spot, but had to go “through the jungle and across the bridge and then other bridge” to see the ocean.

So amazingly beautiful!

The Atlantic seems flat and gray to me.  It stretches on forever and just seems to drop off at the edge. I love the ocean, just being near it makes me feel better.

Somehow, we left an island and traveled halfway around the globe just to look for the ocean.

There was only one short trail in the park, but it made for a pretty beautiful walk. The cypress trees are so unique!
