Continuing our love affair with state parks, we found this gem in Ocala, Florida. Silver Springs state park used to have a huge tourist draw and was a privately run theme park. It was turned over to the state and became a state park. There were beautiful, very wet trails and a glass bottom boat tour! Apparently there are also monkeys in the trees in some areas, left over from when it was a theme park, but we did not get deep enough into the park to see any.
